The CSGA annual end-of-year business meeting was held at the club Saturday night. On the agenda was the election of club officers for 2017, approving a revision to the club's by-laws, and determining how may Game Days should be put during 2017.
All three club officers and 18 CSGA members attended the meeting. After the officer reports by CSGA President Mike Garland and Secretary/Treasurer Robert Scholtz were given the new 2017 officers were voted in. Taking over for out-going President Garland, Vice President Andy Oertig II was voted in to lead the CSGA. Cal Pearson was voted in as Vice President and Robert Scholtz retained his position as Secretary/Treasurer.
After the election, the club voted to update the CSGA bylaws to clarify when the new officers' terms of service begin upon being elected. Then it was decided that Vice President Pearson study what dates will best work for the club's game days for 2017. The club has normally ran 3 or 4 game days each year with each event being scheduled for a weekend when there were no conflicting conventions in the local area. Cal volunteered to study the situation and come up with good dates for our game days. Thank you Cal!
Once the business meeting was concluded, Eric Widiger put on a U.S. Civil War era game using the Johnny Reb 2.5 ruleset. The night's scenario was the opening engagements of the Battle of Shiloh.
