The featured game at the club this past Saturday night was a test-play of the new The Men Who Would Be Kings colonial wargaming rules by Osprey. CSGA Secretary Robert Scholtz put on the game for four players and to test the game Scenario E: Run for the HIlls was played. The scenario was set after the Battle of Isandlwana in 1879 with a small British force trying to retreat back across the Buffalo River to Natal and safety while a Zulu force attempted to cut-off the British retreat. Game pitted two players playing the British and two players playing the Zulus. The game is a fast-paced game with a lot of action taking place each turn. The game lasted for about three-hours and the players were able to complete a dozen or more turns. Everyone who played had good comments about the game system and The Men Who Would Be Kings should develop a good following here in the club.
