Busy night at the club this past weekend. Three games were played and CSGA member Dan Brewer brought in an assortment of miniatures he is planning to sell at the club's Spring Game Day scheduled for later this month. The games played were Bolt Action, The Walking Dead, and Dragon Rampant.
The Bolt Action game was put on by Robert Scholtz and the scenario was set in August 1944. In the game an American force is tasked to capture a bridge being used by the Germans to evacuate troops from the Falaise Pocket while a small German force attempts to prevent the bridge from being captured. Three players took part in the game with one player having never played before. It was a good opportunity to teach the core rules to the new player.
The Walking Dead game was put on by Peter Hope and several players took part. In the game a small group of survivors are attacked by the dead and the survivors had to fend for their lives or become snacks for the zombies.
Dragon Rampant was put on by Doug Rains and it was an opportunity to teach the rules to club member Dave Kuklin who wanted to learn the game. Doug ran the game a couple of times allowing Dave to test out his new miniatures and try different tactics.
Each game lasted throughout most of the evening and over a dozen club members attend the meeting.
