This past weekend the club held its Spring Game Day for CSGA members and guests. Starting at 9 AM, nine games over three gaming periods were scheduled. The morning session had three games scheduled with Walt Williams putting on a WFG game, Cal Pearson hosting Horizon Wars, a sci-fi game, and Brian Cumming running a mini Hordes of the Things (HOTT) tournament. During the afternoon session, the HOTT tournament continued along with a fantasy Circus Maximus chariot game and a naval game were scheduled. The day wrapped up with three games during the evening session. Joe Muise put on WFG scenario set during the French Indo-china war, Paul Pease put a hexed-based version of Napoleon's Battles, and Al Mauer put on a test-game of a new 19th century colonial ruleset by Two Hour War Games.
Along with the scheduled games, the club had a swap table for members to sell or trade games and miniatures and a book sale supporting the Friends of the Fountain Community Library was held. Food and refreshments were provided by the club to those attending the game day. In all, over 30 CSGA members and guests stopped in and participated throughout the day. CSGA President Andy Oertig expressed his thanks to all the members who put on games. It was only through their support that the game day was a success!
Below are a couple of pictures of two of the evening session games. The first picture is of Joe Muise's WFG game and the second is of Paul Pease's Napoleon's Battles game.
