After last week's success of Andy's World War I aerial combat game, Larry Neal decided to put his World War II aerial game Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) this weekend. Aerial combat has been of great interest here and multiple times throughout the year aerial combat games are put on. This week's DFC scenario was called "Invasion of Malaya..." and was set early on during the war in the Pacific. Being an early war scenario some lesser known World War II fighter aircraft were available to be flown by the players including Tomahawks, Buffalos, Hurricanes and Fokkers on the Allied side versus Oscars, Zeros, Bettys and others for the Japanese. Having both Blue Max and DFC played two weekends in a row allowed people not familiar with these aerial games to experience both without waiting a long period of time. Hopefully it will encourage some of our newer members to take part in these games regularly.
