Saturday Game Night Recap - A fantasy game played

After last week's success of Lion Rampant, this week the club was the fantasy version being played. Doug Rains and Robert Scholtz played Osprey Games' Dragon Rampant to test the rules and see how they differed from Lion Rampant. The night's scenario had force of Vikings exploring the new world and coming into contact with a force of Skrayling indians. Dragon Rampant adds fantasy aspects to Lion Rampant allowing players to have characters that can cast spells and to run fantasy creatures. The game was a very blood battle with the Viking barely holding on to defeat the Skraylings. Each side was down to their very last unit when the game was called in favor of the Vikings. All-in-all it was a very good play-test of the rules and I'm sure it will be played again at the club.
