Saturday Game Night Recap - War of the Roses and more Pirates!

After a brief hiatus, the War of the Roses campaign returned to the club this past Saturday night. Facing off in the battle were nine participants, four Lancastrian and five Yorkist players. The battle had equal size forces starting the game and a Yorkist reinforcement army arriving several turns into the battle. It was another bloody affair with the Lancastrians taking advantage of ill-advised Yorkist early assault which allowed the Lancastrians to break the attacking Yorkist force before their reinforcements could effectively alter the result of the battle. This Lancastrian victory prevented the Yorkist nobles from changing the current tide of the campaign to their favor. Each battle so far have been very close affairs with victor only being determined late in the battle. Below you can see a few pictures of this season's battle.

The other game of the evening was another play-test of Blood and Plunder, which was put on by Peter Hope. For this game Peter decided to test out the ship rules of the game to see how running ships was done in the rules. The beautiful terrain was provided by CSGA member Dave Brewer, which really made the game look great.
