Saturday Game Night Recap - Two games make an appearance at the club

Two historical games set three centuries apart were played at the club this past Saturday night. The first game chronologically was an Early Renaissance Age of Gunpowder (AOG) scenario put on by Dick Fickes and Doug Rains. The game was set in the late 1600s and pitted the Late Turks against the Late Imperials. The figures used are 15mm in scale allowing for many units on both sides to be fielded. Dick and Doug have been working on putting an AOG game for awhile now it was good to see them put the game on this weekend. The second game played was Squad Leader, which was hosted by Paul Pease. The game is based on Avalon Hill's World War II game Advanced Squad Leader, but instead of using tokens to represent different units, Paul has converted the rules so it can be playing using miniatures. Paul has put on the game a few times now at the club and it has been well received by those you have had the opportunity to play.
