Saturday Night Game Recap - Two games played at the club

Two games were put on at the club this past weekend. Luis Nunez put on a game of Battle Fleet Gothic and Peter Hope put on a game of Massive Darkness. Luis' game was a demo game of the classic sci-fi space combat game. Luis' plan was to pay several two-player games to allow players to try out the game. A number of club members have played the game in the past and this was a good opportunity for new players to see the game. Massive Darkness is a co-op dungeon crawl game using 28mm miniatures. The concept of Massive Darkness is to bring the classic fantasy role playing game experience to modern board gaming. The game depicts an action-packed campaign using miniatures and a streamlined game system that keeps the focus on the heroes' actions meaning there is no need for a game master to control the monsters the players face during the game. The game is designed to played in about two hours and up to six players can play. This is the second time Peter and his son have brought the game to the club.
