Three different games were played at the club Saturday night. Joe Muise put on a Command & Colors: Tricorne American war of independence game; Dave Brewer put on a sci-fi pulp fiction game; and, Dave Clapper put on a War of the Rings board game.
Joe Muise game was a modification of Command & Colors: Tricorne to use 28mm miniatures as the playing pieces instead of the wooden blocks that came with the game. This the latest game using the popular Command & Colors game system designed by Richard Borg. Four players took part in the game, which was a test-play of the rules. The game was a close fought affair with the colonial players squeaking out a victory by one victory point. The game played fairly quickly even with the mistakes made as everyone learned to rules. I expect this game will be played a lot more at the club along with its sister game Command and Colors: Napoleonics.
With the success of Dave Brewer's pulp game that was played a few weeks ago, Dave put on another game based of the movie Waterworld. The game was set in a world where the last of humanity lived on rusting oil rigs and a few salvaged ships and boats. The game had a group of players attempting to raid/capture a oil rig somewhere in one of the oceans of the world. This post-action (post-apocalypse) game used a modified version of the World War II game Bolt-Action.

Platted to possibly put on for game day in October.
