WFG 2.0 and Blood and Plunder were the big games at the club last night. WFG was put on by game creator Walt Williams and for this weekend there was a little mystery as to the scenario. When Walt announced the game he only said it was set in 1940 somewhere "the Med." Numerous emails were set trying to figure out what Walt had up his sleeve... Would it be another Soviet vs a minor Axis ally or a battle set in North Africa. The actual location of the game scenario was only learned on Saturday night when Walt announced the location was set on the island of Crete and scenario was the German airborne assault on the British defenders there. Walt had another big turnout for his game and the game lasted late into the evening.

While the Germans attempted to capture Crete from the British, Robert Scholtz put on a Blood and Plunder game. The scenario was a land engagement with English pirates attempting to capture water (or was it rum) barrels from a small Spanish coastal village to replenish their water (rum) supply. Four players participated and the game saw a lot of action as English chased off by the Spanish who wanted to keep their water (rum) for themselves. The game was put on in honor of the upcoming "Talk like a Pirate" day that occurred the following week.
