March started off with a sci-fi game put on by Dave Brewer based on the 1970's sci-fi classic "Beneath the Planet of the Apes." Dave's game, entitled "Beneath the Planet of the Primates" had participants either playing as the heroic astronauts from Earth's long ago past, the now-ruling intelligent primates of the Earth, or the mysterious underground humanoid mutants who plot to one day regain control over the planet. Dave's games are known for their lavish terrain and this game did not disappoint. Players had to navigate through dense jungles over arid rock formations and down into the underground complex of the mutants. What more could a sci-fi gamer ask for!
