CSGA Spring Game Day

March 16th was the date for the CSGA’s Spring Game Day. The Spring Game Day is the first of three game days scheduled to be put on by the CSGA. Three gaming sessions were held and over 30 club members and guests attended the event. Multiple historical, sci-fi, and fantasy games were put on throughout the day, which included both board and miniature games.

The day began with the morning gaming session where Walt Williams’ WFG game was the highlight of the morning. Walt’s game ran through two gaming sessions and had the largest player participation. Also played during the morning session were games put on by Dave Brewer, Jeff Scott and Eric Widiger. The games were a miniatures game and two board games.

During the afternoon session Walt’s game came to completion while Cal Pearson put on XenoShyft: Onslaught and Jeff Scott put on Ticket to Ride a railroad boardgame.

The evening session finished the day with three miniatures games and one board game. The games played were a Bolt Action scenario put on by Robert Scholtz; a Command and Colors: Napoleaonics game put on by Ed Strecker; Horizon Wars that was ran by Cal Pearson; and Rail Baron, which was ran by Jeff Scott.

Throughout the event food was provided to all the guests and a book sale and game swap table were put on. The book sale and game swap have been a standard feature of our game days and have always been looked forward to by club members and guests alike. This year’s book sale was the last for Chester (Woz) Wozniakowski the club’s liaison with the Pikes Peak Public Library District who is retiring this year. Woz has been a great friend to the club and his participation with the CSGA will be greatly missed.

Below are a few pictures of the event.
