With Saturday being May 4th two Star Wars themed games were put on at the club to celebrate "May the 4th be with you!" (Star Wars) day. The two games were Star Wars Legion which was put on by Peter Hope and Two Hour Wargames' 5150, which was put on by Al Mauer. Star Wars Legion is squad level sci-fi miniatures game set in the Star Wars universe that allows players to play characters from the Star Wars movies leading small groups of figures to accomplish various objectives during the game. 5150 is a sci-fi ruleset that can be modified to fit most any sci-fi movie or novel setting. For Al's scenario the objective of the game was to find Princess Leia who was hiding somewhere in a small remote village in the back water of the universe. The game pitted Luck Skywalker and a small group of rebel soldiers try to find Leia before Darth Vader and his stormtroopers found her. The game was pretty much a play-test of the rules as only one of the players had previously played the rules. The game went quite fast allowing Al to put on a second game adding more features for players to try out.
In addition to the two Star Wars games, Walt Williams put on another WFG 2.0 Almost Written scenario. Six players took part in the game that was set on the Western Front during World War II. The game had an American unit attempting to infiltrate a small village held by the Germans. The game saw an exciting fight as the Americans struggled to enter the town. When the game ended the result was a minor victory for the Germans as they were able to hold on to a small part of the village.
