ARRGGG! It's a Game Night Recap

Two games were featured at the club this past weekend with one game being put on to celebrate Talk Like A Pirate Day that occurred earlier in the week. The first game was Blood and Plunder, which was put on by Brian Cummings. This game has a good group of followers in the club and has been put several times now by Brian and Robert Scholtz. The game pitted six players against each other in a race to capture and hold a ancient temple hidden in the central American jungle. Each player had either four or five units to command as everyone worked their way over the map to the center of the battlefield. With such a large group of players involved the game got quite bloody in a short matter of time. Whether it was by musket fire or hand-to-hand combat, everyone in the game quickly lost many members of their commands. In the end, the game was decided when one player was able to maneuver the majority of his units to surround the temple and block access to the other players. Below are couple of pictures of the game.

The second game put on was a sci-fi board game called Zombicide Invader that Dave Clapper. As in most games that involve zombies, the object of the game was for players to survive a zombie attack on their location. The game is very card driven as characters obtain weapons and abilities based on the cards they are given or collect during the game. The game is also a cooperative game where players work together to defeat the zombies.
