Two games were put on this weekend as play resumes at the club. Luis Nunez put on a game of Lion Rampant and Larry Neal put on a Distinguish Flying Cross (DFC) game.
Luis' game had a fantasy setting with the scenario being about a dwarf sentry tower at the edge the Iron hills being assaulted by marauding bands of orcs and goblins. Can the dwarfs hold out or would they be overwhelmed by the attackers! Lion Rampant is normally a two-player game, but it is easily expanded to accommodate four or more players.
Larry's DFC game's scenario was the "Soccer War," also known as the Hundred Hours War, which was a brief military conflict fought between El Salvador and Honduras in 1969. The Salvadoran Air Force (FAS) flew P-51D Mustangs vs The Honduran Air Force (FAH) who flew F4U-4 & F4U-5 Corsairs. Larry's game supported eight players and many of the club's most active members participated in the game. The game started just after 5 PM and lasted most of the evening.
Thank you to Luis and Larry for putting on their games this weekend!
